Guys!! I moved! FINALLY.
I'm sorry for being MIA for a couple months, I've encountered a few obstacles that have taken my attention away from the blog... including a car accident THE WEEK OF CHRISTMAS. That was fun- still dealing with that one actually. Let me just say, adulting is tough.
Aside from some setbacks..
Christmas was amazing! I woke up to my love, and our new fur-baby he got me. We named him Albus Dumbledore (Albus for short), he has a mustache, and he is by far the cutest-sweetest-craziest-fluffiest- cat I have ever had. I love him. Anyways. We woke up on Christmas and Ryan tore into his Kinder chocolates from me, we spent the day with his family and ate and drank and had the best time celebrating as one big family.
An obstacle or two later, came New Years. This past NewYears was the happiest I can ever remember having. Truly. I spent the evening shooting off fireworks, playing video games and board games with Ryan's siblings, cry-laughing, eating snacks, drinking some amazing mulled wine that tasted exactly like warm apple butter, and counting down the hours until 2017. It was almost 9pm and I was 100% positive that I would not see my boyfriend until after the new year came. Because of his job, he wasn't supposed to get home until after midnight. The next thing I knew, headlights were shining through the front windows, the door opened and I heard his voice. So happy. So so happy.
Forward to...
Today is January 7th, 2017.
My love is sitting at his desk- headset on- talking to his best friend. Albus is curled up under his chair. A blinding white light is shining through the windows in the sunroom because it snowed all night. Work has been canceled, and we are having a *chill* lazy day. I am incredibly happy and I feel so lucky to be living in this beautiful apartment with a beautiful man. I am loved beyond measure. Life can be hard. Adulting may be tough. But everything we have been through together has lead us to this point. Who knew, a year ago, that right now this is where we would be.
Here are some photos I took of our home, so far.
| And.. The baby. Sound asleep next to his favorite pouf. |
